Over the past year or so, we have asked you to make a number of changes to the way you experience our MaxSold process due to COVID. As the COVID risk changes, we expect mask (and related) protocols to change region by region based on local factors. However, it is our position at this time that our mask wearing policies will remain unchanged for the foreseeable future for a number of reasons with the absolute primary reason being our Commitment to Customers.
Ultimately, wearing a mask at MaxSold auction locations is an important part of MaxSold Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for a number of reasons including:
- Health & Safety: Our most vulnerable customers (and team members) are those most susceptible to disease (and specifically COVID variants still impacting vaccinated people) and, regardless of severity, diseases in general can cause lost time. Wearing a mask provides a layer of protection and supports getting more healthy days than sick ones.
- Environment: Not every location is as well kept as the next. Masks help reduce the impact of allergic reactions and prevent sneezes from making the air on site worse for everyone.
- Vaccinations: We do not expect customers or team members to provide and/or determine what constitutes acceptable vaccines and/or related documentation at this time. Masks have proven to provide a key layer of protection and the proof of use is visible to all.
- Consistency of Experience: We aim to provide a team and customer experience that is as consistent as possible no matter which region you experience MaxSold in.
Summary: Although we appreciate that requiring masks at auction sites, both at cataloging and pickup events, may be cumbersome, it is our position at this time that the benefits outweigh the costs.
