Maxsold auctions typically see the most competitive bidding activity toward the very end of the sale. It is completely normal for bids to appear low in the early days of the auction, even when there is strong interest and watch activity.
Many bidders intentionally wait until the final hours, and especially the last 15 minutes, to place their bids in an effort to secure a deal. Because of this, bidding activity often increases significantly in the last 24 hours, with a large portion of bids happening in the final minutes before closing.
Maxsold also uses a soft close system, meaning that if a bid is placed in the final moments, the closing time for that lot is extended. This gives all interested bidders a fair chance to respond and often results in stronger final sale prices.
If your auction appears slow at the beginning, don’t worry. This is expected behavior, and the most important bidding activity is still to come near closing time.
